Review the ~30 yr. performance chart. Please work with your registered investment adviser to determine which of the strategies is right for you. ETF Sector Fund Investing is not a registered adviser, and does recommend the use of any particular strategy for an investor. Below are descriptions of the different methods and combinations available to you as a subscriber to the System.
Use “Select 12 ETF w/long+short” method to buy & sell select sector funds when “IN”, and buy short index funds when “OUT” (recommended for ETF investing).
Select 12 ETF w/long+short investing: Choose a specific amount of your investment dollars to dedicate to this system. Divide that number by 12, and that number will be “1 buy unit”. If $50,000. then $4,200.00, is the amount to invest in each sector. If $12,000 a buy unit is 1,000. Then follow future buy and sell signals as they occur in the info column of the daily summary. There are 12 active sectors but the System rarely has “buy’s” in all, and it varies in which of them are invested at any time. alphaplus performance is calculated using 12 buy units always invested when “IN”. Example: If there are 9 sector “buys” in effect , then 3 units should be invested in index funds (SPY, QQQ equally) for a total of 12 buy units invested (see the subheading (long+short)on the 30 yr. performance chart). When the alphaplus does go to “OUT”, the next morning all “long” positions (ETFs and SPY, QQQ) must be sold and One day after all longs are sold, add new positions: 1/4 into SH (s&p500 index short x1); 1/4 into SDS (s&p500 index short x2). The other half of your total should remain in a cash or money market account. Results of this method are in table 2 (yellow col.).
Use “Select 12 ETF” w/long only method to buy & sell select sector funds when “IN”, and if a conservative investor, stay out of the market when the System is “OUT”.
Select 12 ETF w/long only Investing: this method is managed exactly the same as 1: except when comp box does go to “OUT”, the next morning, all “long” positions (ETFs, SPY, QQQ) must be closed and as a conservative investor 100% of all assets should be in a money market or cash account. Table 2 (blue col.) of the performance chart shows the results of being “OUT” during the OUT periods, but not short. Results of this method are in table 2 (blue col.).
Use “Select INDEXfd w/ long+short” method to buy s&p/nasd index funds when “IN”, and buy short index funds when “OUT” (recommended for index fund investing).
Select INDEXfd w/long+short investing; When the signal is “IN”, purchase 1/2 of your investment total in SPY(s&p500) and 1/2 into QQQ(nasdaq). When the signal is “OUT”, the next morning, all “long” positions are sold. One day after longs are sold, put 1/2 of your investing total in a money market or cash account: Put 1/4 into SH (s&p500 index short x1) and 1/4 into SDS (s&p 500 index short x2). Results of this method are in table 3 (yellow col.).
Use “Select INDEXfd” w/long only method to buy s&p/nasd index funds when “IN”. If a conservative investor, stay out of the market when the System is “OUT”.
Select INDEXfd w/long only investing; When the signal is “IN”, purchase equal amounts of your investment total into SPY and QQQ. When the signal is “OUT”, as a conservative investor all assets should be in a money market or cash account. Results of this method are in table 3 (blue col.).
Use options 1-4 in any combination.
Use alphaplus “IN” & “OUT” signal to know when to be “long”, “IN” the market, and when to be “OUT” and or “short” the market. This signal should be used for all equity investing.

What Clients Are Saying About The alphaplus System
John T.
"Elegant in its simplicity, rich in its rewards, the alphaplus system achieves the goal of leaving you in the market in an uptrend, and generally not shaking you out when it whipsaws, and finally getting you out when there are serious downdrafts. alphaplus allows you to do what successful traders always state: that you make the most money by sitting on your hands. It also prevents the allure of attempting to outsmart the professionals by day- or swing-trading. All-in-all an ingenous “System,” based on numbers and not emotions or hunches."
Gabrielle B.
"When I switched companies and left my job at CBS, I didn't know what to do with my 401k. Then I was introduced to the alphaplus system and I rolled my 401k into an account using the alphaplus strategy. I have been earning a great return for the past 1 1/2 years. I also started accounts for both of my sons, which have increased very nicely in value over the past year. I'm so thrilled to have found alphaplus and appreciate all of ETF Sector Fund Investing guidance on how to invest for a better return on my 401k and savings for my children."

"Time and again the alphaplus method has proven successful, invaluable, and well-considered. The returns consistently outperform the market and most index funds. It is easy to follow and the daily summaries keep me up-to-date. The most important and impressive thing I can say is that several weeks before the crash in 2008 the system recommended that we sell our holdings and get out of the market. The S&P500 lost ~42 % after that call. That advice proved prescient and unparalleled, saving our family from devastating losses. I am forever a believer!"
